My name is Sparrow, er… Life Story time? Yeah, i think so. It’ll probably bore you… but then it’s your own fault for clicking on this page in the first place, you kinda let yourself in for it.
I was born July 28th, 1990 in England. After a few happy (but not memorable) years as a kid, My elder brother, Michael, died age 7, in a swimming pool accident on holiday. Being almost too young to remember, i don’t obviously have many memories of my brother, being as i was only 3 at the time, but the earliest thing i can remember is lots of screaming and crying and darkness, and i’ve always linked it to that.
I guess half the hurt is the fact i know he’s not here, and that my brother died and i lost him forever, but the other half is the ‘what might have been’ aspect of it all. I really miss him, every day in fact, and i always wonder, what’s it like to have a brother to look after you all the time, and hang out with, and talk to whenever you need someone. Nobody ever seemed to get that. And i’ve been to a fair few psychologists.
Due to this, i led a very sheltered childhood, so didn’t really go out and play as a child and never really had many friends… well, any really. Looking back it was all a bit… Edward Scissorhands. If that makes sense to anyone but me. lol.
This is when i discovered the computer, age 6/7…
I spent many hours, as i didn’t have any friends, just messing about on the computer as a child, making cities out of basic shapes and driving cars round them made of 5 rectangles. I thought it was the best thing ever. Then age 8 i discover Windows Messenger, and was fascinated with that, even toug hi couldn’t talk to anyone, because remember, i had no friends.
Then i started looking into how this contraption i was using worked. And discovered programming… age 8.
I found a couple of pages on it and started to learn how it all worked. Starting with very basic C programming, i worked out how to make applications and was well away in no time.
BLAH BLAH BLAH, then we skip a whole boring section where nothing really changes.
BANG, age 15.
To bring you up to speed, Sparrow has friends. And Sparrow has changed. He no longer has braces, glasses and short hair, he now has long hair, no braces, and no glasses. He discovers a life. And it’s amazing. So that’s why i’m good with computers, and have a social life at the same time. Computers came first.
So now i have all this deep psychological stuff i really dont want to go into… but that’s the very reason i keep a blog. To let it all out. And that’s why i don’t put my name. Anywhere. On this blog at least. It’s just an outlet for me to explain away my messy messy life and childhood and well, everything that was and is wrong basically.
Thank you for listening if you got this far. It means a lot that someone can take such an interest to such an individual as i.
Merci bien,
Sp.

Jack,
I just read your whole blog and I am wondering what your argument is with the world. If its the reason you keep a blog, let’s hear it!
Write for yourself. Pretend no one is listening. Liberation awaits…
From across the pond, with best wishes,
